Removal of the air requires the use of a relevant hand pump or vacuum food preserver (status FV500 or SV2000) which are available separately. Use the STATUS jug for: Freshly squeezed natural juices Other drinks Milk Use Fill the jug to the max (1.5 mm from the mouth) Install the lid & remove air from the airtight jug using the vacuum pump or food preserver (FV500 or SV2000) To open the jug, simply push the valve in the center of the lid. You will hear the sound of the air coming out. Cleaning The STATUS airtight storage jug must be cleaned before first use. You can wash them either by hand or in the dishwasher.
